Bali: A Natural History (6 hrs)

A volcanic chain runs from west to east dividing Bali in two. The wild and rugged beauty of volcanic craters twinned with mountain rainforests contrasts with a man made landscape of terraced rice fields and as you leave the southern plains vegetable gardens and coffee plantations. The two sides combine to create the tropical idyll that is Bali. The guide an expert in the Ecology of Bali will provide an insight into how man has adapted Bali to his own end, examines what remains of the natural Bali and introduce the threats to Bali’s future as a tropical idyll.
