An authentic Balinese Village with a unique architecture, traditions and culture. Penglipuran or Pengeling Pura means the holy place for remembering ancestors. It is also said that this is the place that ancient kings visited for entertainment because of its beautiful surroundings.

Pelingpuran stands out from the other Balinese villages because of the traditional Balinese buildings and the layout of the village. You will find rows of houses with identical gates on either side of the road. The uniformity of the architecture of houses still apply to the traditional house structure rules.

Pelingpuran is also known for its bamboo forest of 75 hectares with fifteen varieties of bamboo. The cool fresh air and the sound of bamboo touching each other when the wind blows makes trekking or cycling in the bamboo forest an unforgettable experience.
